Camping

Last weekend we did our first camping trip EVER as a family!! We took our camp trailer out for the first time, too. Camping didn't go quite as expected. Mostly because Hunter was out of sorts the entire time. He cried pretty much the whole drive up there which is unusual for him. His teeth have been really slow coming in and he has 6 coming in that were really bugging him. He was not a happy camper! We camped about an hour away and on the way to the coast. After Hunter went to bed we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and told Caden "scary" stories. He liked to have us repeat them twice. First Clint would tell it and then I would repeat it. Caden ended up sleeping in our bed with us half way through the night. There was not an inch of extra room...seriously. I could lay there straight and that was all the space I had! Or maybe it was just me that got stuck with zero moving room. Anyway, even though it was cramped it was so nice to sleep in a trailer vs a tent.

In the morning we went down by the river. That was about the only thing we could do with Hunter to keep him content.

We didn't hang around too long the next day. Camping is so much work! It's definitely worth it to just pack and stay for two nights with the amount of work it takes to get everything ready and to get there. Next time we'll be better prepared and hopefully Hunter will be his normal self.
